Lila Kora began with something I hadn't realised I needed: the simple joy of slowing down and creating something just for myself.

I came across a meditative drawing technique that encouraged me to create freely, without expectations or worrying about the outcome. I loved how calming the process felt, and how beautiful something could become when I simply allowed myself to create.

I've always loved scarves, and looking at one of my finished paintings, I had an idea. What if I could turn my artwork into something I could wear?

At first, I only wanted to make a scarf for myself. But when I received it, I realised it was unlike anything else I owned.

I knew the story behind it. I remembered the thoughts, hopes, and intentions I had while creating it. Every time I wore it, it brought those feelings back and reminded me of what that moment had meant to me.

That's when I realised it wasn't simply about having a scarf that no one else had. It was about wearing something that carried a part of my own story.

I wanted other women to experience that same feeling. The joy of creating something for themselves, and the special connection that comes from wearing something they have personally created.

And that's how Lila Kora began.
